Bio of Chase Winder, Panelist at Utah Breakfast Club on March 12

Chase Winder is a Salt Lake native born and raised in the Avenues, who during his college career played  semi-professional basketball overseas before graduating from the University of Utah with a Political  Science degree. Following his degree Chase moved to Washington DC and Virginia where he worked in  policy and on political campaigns before returning to live, work, and ski in SLC two years ago. During his  time back East, Chase was a Research and Policy Fellow for Congressman Jim Matheson of Utah and a  congressional Communications Director for retired Air Force Brigadier General John Douglass who was  running for Congress in Virginia’s 5th District.

After returning home Chase joined local education technology company Graduation Alliance (GA), as a State  Sales Executive after analyzing the education and economic development market for two years at a local  nonprofit. By researching and reviewing over 400 companies in the education market, Chase knew that GA  would be the perfect fit and home to be a part of the most important mission of helping the  largest underserved population in public education – at risk and dropout students. In his new role, Chase  is focused on state program sales, assisting on policy creation and outreach, and utilizing his PR and  communications experience to secure more economic development partnerships.

In his free time, Chase is an avid hiker, skier, mountain biker, and outdoor enthusiast who can been seen  spending his free time in the beautiful Wasatch mountains or Southern Utah. Besides enjoying the  outdoors, Chase is a local volunteer at Franklin elementary school where he tutors 5th graders in reading  and math and is a member of the Salt Lake City Rotary Education Committee.
